Oh My God! Have I come into a Temple Travel Blog?

Don’t worry! Since half of Day 1 & half of Day 2 are in Little India & China Town – it might look like that because those are the key attractions!

DAY 2 – MORNING :

Head into Bangalore’s famous MTR Restaurant (5 mins walk from hotel) for our breakfast. Same hospitality and taste!

Head to Farrer Park MRT (Metro Tip : Hotel is near to Farrer Park. There is another metro which is Farrer Road. Please don’t confuse)

If you are interested to see, Sri Thendayuthapani Temple – then look at the travel tips. Else, please skip this:

  • Board at: Farrer Park MRT
  • Switch at: China Town MRT
  • De-board at: Fort Canning MRT

To visit Chinatown Singapore, we de-boarded at Chinatown MRT

Shopped through the busy street of Chinatown: Pagoda Street (Spent 30 mins – 90 mins)

Towards the end of street, visited the following places

  1. Sri Mariamman Temple (Spent 5 mins – 30 mins).
  2. Walked towards Thian Hock Keng Temple (Spent 15 mins – 30 mins)
  3. Finished at Buddha Tooth Relic Temple (Spent 15 mins – 30 mins)

DAY 2 – AFTERNOON :

Had lunch at Chinatown Food Street (Smith Road). Maxwell Food Centre (Kadayanallur Street) is another option available.

  • Board in: Chinatown MRT
  • Deboard in: Farrer Park MRT

Rest at hotel till 5pm

DAY 2 – EVENING :

Evening:  Pack your Dinner food [preferably quickies like McDonalds, Subway from City Square Mall (Opposite ParkRoyal Hotel on Kitchener Road)]

Booking Tips:
  1. Book a 2 way Ticket at SAEx Bus (Blue Line). While de-boarding, visit the SAEx counter and check on the return timings
  2. Pre-book a fixed date & time for Singapore Night Safari. If you end up buying tickets at the counter or pre-book open dated tickets, based on the crowd – your entry time will be determined or all the slots might be full.
  3. Best slot to pick is 7:15pm. 2-3 hours would be required to experience the following shows:
    • Thumbuakar Fire Dance (Check the timings)
    • Night Safari Tram
    • Creatures of the Night Show (Check the timings)
    • Closer look at the animals through the 4 Walking Trails

DAY 2 – NIGHT :

If you had packed your food, enjoy your quickies.

Else, you can purchase food like us at their counters – food quantity was minimal, expensive and taste was just ‘OK’.

  • Board at:  SAEx bus Blue Line (based on the timings)
  • De-board at:  Farrer Park Station Exit A (Near Farrer Park Hotel)

Rest at Hotel. Day 3 is going to be a nature-filled experience – Singapore Flyer, Gardens by the Bay & OCBC Skyway!
